Tribe Global is a growing network of independent creative agencies, including members from Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. Balfour will help oversee growth at the network which gives independent creative agencies a chance to partner with and draw on the expertise of a worldwide membership base.
Balfour has been an active member of the Tribe Global network since 2014. Tribe Global now has 28 members and two partners.
Speaking about the expansion, Balfour said: "We’ve always shared a common interest with Tribe Global to create a platform for authenticity and creativity, linking ideas and resources on an international scale. We hope this next phase will usher in a new era of marketing, one that will help attract new partnerships, all the while staying true to our promise to empower our clients and their fans through meaningful experiences."
Javier Francolino, director at Argentinian agency La Fusion, has also been appointed to Tribe Global's board, which is headed by new chair, British CEO Nicky Unsworth. She said she hoped to oversee continuing expansion at the network and added: "It’s a real honour to have been asked to take the chair at what is a really exciting time for Tribe Global. As we move into our fifth year, the network is continuing to grow and welcome new inquiries from potential members and we are delighted to now have new board representation from established members, Lightblue in Dubai."
Lightblue has offices in Dubai, Glasgow and Melbourne. Last year, the agency worked with Adidas on a Dubai-based activation celebrating the past, present and future of street style.
