The 'Nicks and Margarets' will be expected to help out the finalists in the Eventice as they compete in a number of challenges on the middle day of International Confex (Wed 7 March).
Volunteers so far include Petra Bones from RIBA, James Morgan at Crewsaders and Nis Arend from Barclays Wealth, but it would be great to add another three to the list. To apply click here and register your interest.
The Eventice, which is an Apprentice-styled competition, will see 12 final year event management students partake in a number of tasks in a bid to win a job with either George P Johnson or Tarsus.
The competition will culminate with a number of these finalists being chosen by a panel of industry experts lead by Liz Sinclair, CEO of ESP Recruitmen and including Kevin Jackson, executive director George P Johnson, Doug Emslie, group MD at Tarsus and Richard Faulkes, director at Imagination.
These finalists will then be asked to present for five minutes each on the Haymarket Hub from 2.30pm-3pm on Thursday 8 March. The presentations will be focused around the future of the event industry and something that each of the candidates is passionate about.
The winner will then be announced at 4pm on the Haymarket Hub, and everyone at the show is welcome to come and see the future of the event industry.
