Clifford battled it out against two other chefs in a regional cook-off, which saw all three produce a starter. He will feature on the show all week, and each day the chefs will be asked to prepare a different dish.
As part of the contest, Clifford will be competing against 23 other top chefs from across the UK for the chance to cook a four-course Olympic banquet.
Clifford is chef patron at the two Michelin-starred Midsummer House restaurant in Cambridge.
At Kudos, part of the Crown Group, Daniel Clifford works on menu development and regularly runs tailored masterclasses for the company’s leading chefs.
Russell Morgan, founder of the Crown Group, said: "We are very fortunate to be able to call Daniel a colleague and we are all very proud of his achievements to date. Whilst the competition is very tough, we know what Daniel is capable of and I know that every single member of the Crown Group team is rooting for him all the way."
