The 'Create your Break' pop-up invites guests to make their own, personalised KitKat bars, using either white, milk or dark chocolate. Nestlé partnered with Michelin star chef Michael O'Hare to create some weird and wonderful chocolate flavours, including chilli and mint – otherwise known as the "hot and cold" bar - and dandelion and burdock.
Nestlé's managing director, Lisa May, said: "For us it's about personalisation, which is a trend, but we believe now is an expectation."
Agency We Are Fearless, which is working on the activation, worked with Nestlé to host the event. Garry Dods, managing director and founder, said: "We're in a position to do something really special, innovative and pioneering in the experiential space. This takes personalisation to the next level."
The pop-up officially launches tomorrow, and will stay open for five weeks with the final day being 8 November. Visitors will have the opportunity to create their own unique flavours, which will be made into bars and ready to pick up within an hour. There will be three new additional flavour combinations available each week.
Cadbury hosted an experience at festivals around the UK this summer, celebrating its Cadbury Singles range and using five 'rooms' in a house to bring each bar to life.
