Keds and Refinery29 partner for NYC pop-up

US footwear brand Keds and lifestyle website Refinery29 are staging a pop-up to mark International Women's Day, celebrating women and creativity.

The event, taking place in New York today (8 March) from 12pm to 6pm at Tictail Market on Orchard Street, marks #BeBoldForChange — an #IWD2017 event that celebrates the power of art, self-expression, and girl power. The pop-up will feature bespoke activations showcasing the power of art, creativity, and self-expression to inspire change and bring forth gender equality.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase limited edition Keds sneakers designed by Jen Mussari, as well as exclusive merchandise featuring Refinery29's Women's March imagery, with all proceeds going to She Should Run, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in politics. Tictail, the shopping destination set out to discover and support emerging global designers, will continue the celebration, with a month-long activation in honor of Women's History Month to empower female entrepreneurs who use their platform for online fashion and design businesses. 

Refinery29 will also reveal a custom mural outside of Tictail that can be seen for one month. Created by Isabel Castillo Guijarro, this piece represents and celebrates strong women, becoming even stronger when they stand side by side.

During last year's New York Fashion Week, Refinery29 partnered with automotive brand Ford to create an interactive experience showcasing its new model.
