A Jaguar 1960s E-Type taxi will be driving through central London on 28 March to offer London commuters the opportunity to arrive at work in style.

The initiative has been designed by partwork publisher De Agostini, and aims to mark the launch of its new model series 'Build the Jaguar E-type'.

For one day only, Londoners will be able to book the Jaguar E-Type - which has been described as 'the most beautiful car in the world' by racing driver Enzo Ferrari - and ride through central London in a bid to shake up their normal commute.

Those interested can book the classic 1960s model by tweeting @DeAgostiniUK before midnight on 24 March, and stating the name of the station they would like to be picked up from. Available stations include Marylebone, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, London Bridge and King’s Cross. They will also need to mention the time of pick up and central London destination, as well as using the hashtag #Etypetaxi within the tweet.

In October, ITV teamed up with Karhoo to offer families the chance to travel in black cabs that had been transformed into iconic Thunderbird vehicles. Also last year, mobile network band Three brought 'unicorn' cab rides to London.
