The brand has enlisted grime and hip hop artist Wretch 32 for the event, who will collaborate with a band of musicians hailing from Nashville, Tennessee – the home of Jack Daniel’s.
The musicians, who are being flown in especially for the night, will include bassist Owen Biddle; Joe Pisapia, the former guitarist for k.d. lang; and drummer Dom Billett.
K Zorro, an up-and-coming grime artist from north London, will support Wretch 32 on the night.
The event is designed to celebrate the contrasting styles of hip hop/grime and Nashville sound, which encompasses genres ranging from country music to rock, as well as the talent of those involved. They will have just three days to rehearse together prior to the gig.
The majority of tickets to the event have been given away via Wretch 32 and K Zorro’s social channels, however a limited number will be available on the night.
The gig forms part of the brand’s Jack Rocks event series, which aims to showcase real musicians and independent venues.
Agency Splendid Communications is handling PR for the event, which includes social amplification.
Michael Boaler, senior brand manager at Jack Daniel’s, said: "Jack Daniel’s has a long and proud history of championing authentic live music, and this Jack Rocks gig symbolises exactly what the brand is about.
