The Bulb will use the sustainable industry standard ISO2012-1 as a benchmark for its work. Donald and Weldon aim to produce and create forward-thinking events that have minimal impact on the environment.
The decision to create a green agency was taken after the pair noticed the pressure organisations are under to be more transparent in their working practices. The Bulb will also highlight how sustainability can lead to reduced costs and more efficient operations.
Weldon said The Bulb hopes to work with clients and suppliers that also share their environmentally-friendly mindset. She explained: "Working sustainably means we are creative in our ideas as well as our budgets and this can only bring benefits to everyone involved."
Donald added: "Our passion for sustainability has been born out of a response to the changes we have seen in the world around us. We’re keen to use our past experience and create fantastic events for our clients whilst at the same time, adding an extra advantage of having minimal environmental impact.
"It’s incredibly important to start looking at the way we deliver events today and how we can produce these responsibly, to make a better tomorrow."
