The events industry association, ISES, today announced a global name change from The International Special Events Society to ILEA, the International Live Events Association. The announcement was made via the association's You Tube channel from international president Jodi Collen.
The name change has been evolving across a three-year period, and UK chapter president Kevin Jackson commented: "We are beyond pleased to announce our new name, especially as it has been something everyone has known would be coming for some time."
"We are excited to be moving forward and evolving as an association, but we will not be forgetting our past and the role that ISES UK has played in our industry over the last 15 years. The name is gone but the legacy will continue as we operate under our new name. Everything will not change overnight, but the board and I are looking forward to completing the change, which, like everything we have ever done, is with and for our membership."
