Expocentres has taken a 51% stake in International Katowice Fair (IKF), the second largest exhibition complex and fair organiser in Poland, for an undisclosed sum.
The company already manages and owns the new Warsaw International Expocentre and it plans to allow both companies to cooperate through the cross selling, cloning and cycling of events.
'There is a natural synergy between the two companies,' said Expocentres chairman Roger Shasoua. 'We both share the same interest in expanding into each region. We also value Katowice Fair's technical and venue expertise in Poland.'
Expocentres is looking at making more acquisitions across Europe.
