the Hotel Show fits in well with Index, which is hotel and office
related. With our investment we expect the show to grow rapidly.'
'With the massive construction of hotels in the Middle East, there is a
clear need for a show dedicated to the industry,' added Dmg managing
director of Dubai business Bernard Walsh. 'The show is a specialist
environment for manufacturers and service providers.'
The group has no immediate plans to expand into other regions although
Brougham added that Asia 'is potentially of interest' to Dmg.
'In the Middle East our main priority is to build on our existing
business,' he added.
The Hotel Show ran from 1-3 April this year.
According to Dmg the hotel industry is valued at dollars 2.5bn (pounds
1.7bn). In the next three to five years about 140 luxury hotels are
