Inspiration: Behind the Scenes - Talent Handler

Our resident booker and Sound Advice MD Hugh Phillimore is still busy after 25 fun-filled years.

I don't think we've had such a full-on January ever. After 25 years in this game, I think it's a record. We did an incredible Cuban-themed event with our friends at the AC - Cubanito, 22-piece Big Band, 16 dancers etc - fab; Rock 'n' Roll Barmitzvah - extraordinary, and a lovely family party at Annabel's with classic crooner Oliver Darley, who took a night off from The Woman In White.

Just completing festival booking for our Cornbury Festival - Joe Cocker, Elvis Costello, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Bonnie Tyler, Ukulele Orchestra etc - an eclectic mix? Also, thrilled to be working with Planit on their Opera & Jazz Festival at The Tower of London. The line-up includes Amy Winehouse, Kyle Eastwood, Katie Melua and Clare Teal - should be good.

Checking out a couple of great new acts - Pink Martini, extraordinary, eccentric US-based jazzy lounge troupe, and Madeleine Peyroux, rising New York jazz star who I think will be very big this year. As always, you heard it here first ...
