"January and February are traditionally a very busy period and many of our exhibitors and visitors are committed during this important trade time with other key events,
he said. "Our new dates give everyone time to maximise on marketing campaigns without the downtime of Christmas and new year falling just pre-show."
This year's show attracted a high number of first-time exhibitors including high street retailer WH Smith, which was promoting its new corporate sales division.
"The quality of visitors to our stand was very high and we are confident that we will generate considerable sales as a direct result of attending,
said a spokesman for the retailer.
