Imark Communications has launched its event management company First Contact in the UK.
First Contact specialises in managing business-to-business (B2B) events, conferences and educational programmes for corporate organisations on a contract basis. The move follows international expansion of Imark's event management services in Europe and the Far East with new offices opened in London and Singapore.
First Contact organises more than 4,000 days of activities per year for blue-chip clients, from seminars and roadshows to conferences and exhibitions. Services range from organisation of event logistics and coordination to complete event management packages incorporating integrated marketing strategies. Clients include 3Com, Adobe, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Lucent Technology and Microsoft.
'Our aim is to deliver tailored and expertly run B2B events and provide our clients with a value proposition,' said Imark Communications Europe managing director David Pegler. 'Our vast experience in event organisation and marketing, coupled with our depth of resources extending over four continents, means we can offer clients innovative and cost-effective field marketing programmes.'
First Contact was launched in 1993 in Portland, US, as a subsidiary of American Show Management and was quickly established as one of Oregon's top 100 fastest growing companies.
ASM and First Contact were bought by Imark in 1999 to allow the global expansion of its event management expertise.
