HP:ICM head defects to rival

Jack Morton Worldwide has appointed former HP:ICM managing director Julian Pullan director of operations at the brand communications agency.

Jack Morton Worldwide has appointed former HP:ICM managing director Julian Pullan director of operations at the brand communications agency. The appoint- ment will see Pullan rejoin Jack Morton Worldwide chair Lois Jacobs. The two worked together when she was head of HP:ICM until autumn 1997. The move follows Pullan’s decision not to be involved in the merger of rival agencies HP:ICM and PCI Live Design (Marketing Event, January). He will now help drive special projects for Jack Morton Worldwide such as the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations in June, a European product launch for Volkswagen and a campaign for UBS Warburg. “I am tremendously excited about joining Jack Morton Worldwide, whose global reach and client list makes it unquestionably pre-eminent in our field,” Pullan said. “The company is producing some fantastic and challenging work and I look forward to being part of the team that is moving the industry forward.” Pullan was managing director of HP:ICM from 1997. He joined Hamilton Perry in 1986 and became a board director in 1991 after the company rebranded to HP:ICM. “Pullan joins us at the start of an exciting new year with several high profile wins. His appointment is a clear indication of our commitment to building the strongest possible offering,” said Jack Morton Worldwide managing director Laurence Croneen. Jacobs said: “I’m thrilled he is coming to join us. I hired him as a graduate trainee during my time at HP:ICM and we have always kept in touch.”
