The activity will include Hotels.com's cult character Captain Obvious, who revels in pointing out the self-evident, live-streaming a real countryside stream on the edge of Dartmoor from the five-star Gidleigh Park.
Live-streaming is taking place this week, until 24 September, between 10am and 5pm every day, and is viewable on Twitter. Viewers are invited to tweet the Captain when they spot rubber ducks floating down the river, using the hashtag #ObviousLiveStream. Winners will be chosen randomly everyday throughout the week, with Hotels.com vouchers worth up to £200 up for grabs.
Aude Ducharme, senior marketing manager EMEA for the Hotels.com brand, said: "Streaming a stream – that’s just how Captain Obvious rolls. But if you spot the ducks you're in for a great chance to win some prizes. We hope people will find this fun and get involved and if anything the stream will provide a lovely calming view."
