Designed to celebrate both Oktoberfest and London Cocktail Week (5-11 October), the bar, which goes by the name of Willy’s, transports guests to Germany by shining the spotlight on its traditional food and beverage offering.
Guests can expect German spirits and wines provided by Berry Bros & Rudd, along with a cocktail menu devised by award-winning bartender Chris Lacey, which showcases German ingredients.
Lacey has devised a range of concoctions with names like the Trans Euro Express, The Berliner and A Forest Mighty Black. Elephant Gin will form the basis of cocktails including the Never Forget Martini, Atticha and Silver Bullet.
Limited quantities of a one-off Oktoberfest Bier are also available from the bar.
Those feeling peckish are able to take advantage of Herman Ze German’s food offering, which includes currywurst, gluten and lactose free wurst and a new schnitzel burger.
Willy’s will occupy the basement of Herman Ze German's Charlotte Street store in London's Fitzrovia until 14 October, with opening hours from 4pm to 12pm.
Herman Ze German hosted a party at its Soho venue in August, to celebrate launch of Germany's Berliner Pilsner beer in the UK.
VisitBerlin is hosting a pop-up in Shoreditch until Sunday (11 October) which showcases all that the German capital has to offer, and it is delivering a range of events throughout the week.
