On display at the Game of Thrones art gallery are never-before-seen sketches from the show’s creators, including original storyboards from the series storyboarder William Simpson. Additionally, costume sketches and jewellery by Michelle Clapton, including MEY for Game of Thrones, Clapton’s line of jewellery and accessories seen on and inspired by Daenerys Targaryen, created in conjunction with renowned UK jewellery brand Yunus & Eliza are featured.
Opened yesterday (10 November) in Bethnal Green Road in Shoreditch, the exhibition is running until 13 November. Fans of the show were also encouraged to express their artistic flair via a fan art competition on the HBO UK website, where ten lucky winners were chosen by Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark in the show). The winners' work is also being displayed at the exhibition.
HBO unveiled a Game of Thrones exhibition in New York earlier this year, which featured five Game of Thrones-inspired artworks ahead of the programme's season six premiere in the US. An exhibtion was also held in London at The O2 last year.
