Stephanie Grice has joined IPC Media as its first director of exhibitions and events. The move follows her decision to quit the National Magazine Company after it bought her former employer Gruner + Jahr (Marketing Event, October).
The appointment comes as IPC looks to strengthen its branded event activities and develop its brands to a 'wider consumer audience'.
'I am thrilled to be joining IPC Media to build its events and exhibition business across such a diverse and dynamic portfolio of brands,' said Grice. 'IPC already runs a number of successful events and I plan to develop this programme even further.'
IPC events include the NME Awards, the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter and the Amateur Gardening Show.
'Stephanie has a proven track record in delivering highly successful events,' said IPC chief executive Sly Bailey. 'Her knowledge and experience will be invaluable to the IPC board.'
Grice added: 'Exhibitions, events, roadshows, concerts and awards will not only strengthen IPC's media-neutral business, but are excellent and powerful tools for consumers and clients to experience the brand firsthand.'
