The orchard, launched today (22 September) by High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, celebrates the launch of Farm Heroes Super Saga, the latest instalment in the Farm Heroes franchise. New Yorkers can fully immerse themselves in the ‘bigger is better’ world of the game as they step inside this super-sized apple-shaped Super Cropsie dome, which brings the new gameplay elements and characters to life through a multi-sensory, interactive experience. The opening also coincides with the first day of autumn and the start of apple picking season.
The Interactive Urban Orchard, which was designed by King to look like an apple Super Cropsie from the game, stands at 17 feet and 10 inches tall, with a diameter of 41 feet and four inches wide. The dome is a huge 18,822 cubic feet in total and can fit over a quarter of a million apples inside of it. Agencies Jack Morton Worldwide, TVC and MBooth worked on the activation.
Available to download for free from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Facebook, Farm Heroes Super Saga will offer players new dimensions of gameplay in order to beat Rancid the Raccoon and win the Country Show.
Event spoke to Suzi Thrift, production director at Jack Morton about the creation of King's Candy Crush castle, which was unveiled in London earlier this year.
