Working across the country, GL Events Polaris Ice will install both ice rinks and the hospitality structures, interior fit out and branding that go with them, as well as supply ice skating equipment and deliver staff training.
Additionally, the new division will be equipped to handle the build and fit-out of everything from a full scale ‘Winter Wonderland’ to temporary ice arenas complete with temporary grandstand seating.
Jack Johnson and Rebecca Owen will head up the new division.
Scott Hayward, managing director of GL events UK, said: "We’re thrilled to launch GL events Polaris Ice, a new division within the group, focused solely on delivering ice rink projects. We’ve seen an increase in demand for ice rinks and our structures have been proven to meet the demands while our team has extensive experience of creating facilities to a tight deadline and in environments where space can often be restricted.
"The joint venture with Polaris Ice Rinks will see us providing a complete turn-key solution, advising on every detail that is needed to make the project a commercial success."
