Food and drink exhibition Foodex Meatex 2002 has launched an on-line training manual for exhibitors to ensure they get the most out of their presence at next year’s show. Following an Expo 24-7 survey, which found that 75% of respondents needed help to exhibit effectively, www.foodexmeatex.co.uk has given more than 500 exhibitors at the NEC show in March access to exhibiting advice and show research data. Once an exhibitor registers on-line they can view sections covering setting objectives and making sure budgets are used to maximum effect. The on-line modules then move through stand-building, managing and staffing and effective selling skills, to post-show evaluation and follow-up. “We established the training modules because of the survey’s conclusions that better training opportunities and hands-on advice from organisers could improve exhibitor performance,” Foodex Meatex chief executive Steve Bax said.
