Created by celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin, the 16m long garden pod will be raised 25m high from a giant crane and will overlook the River Thames.

The feature area will also include 25 circular pools below the floating pod at ground level.

Gavin was inspired by Irish animator Richie Baneham, who was behind the visual effects for Avatar and Edward Scissor Hands.

After the show, the pod will be relocated to the River Lee as part of a redevelopment project in the area.

Hospitality tickets for The Chelsea Flower Show have already sold out.
