The brainchild of Event UK organisers and sponsored by Event magazine, The Next Big Thing's first qualifying heat will see dancer Jerry Jack, magician and comedian Mime the Gap, classical singer Matthew Crane, rapper B.A.D MC and magician Sean Heydon battle it out for a place in the final.

There will also be a surprise act confirmed this week, so look out for that.

To see these acts in action you need to purchase a ticket for the ISES Summer Party and AGM.

The audience will also be given the opportunity to cast their votes courtesy of IML's digital voting pads.
