London Venue Expo, which was launched to run alongside the Exhibiting Show, will now follow its sister event from Excel London to Earls Court and take place from 26-27 June after it was sold last month for an undisclosed sum to Easy Fairs.
Burton said: "After two years of building London Venue Expo, I'm glad to have found an organiser who can take it to the next level, enabling us to focus on the Exhibiting Show. I look forward to working with Easy Fairs during the transition phase and beyond."
Easy Fairs will restructure London Venue Expo based on its concept of modular show stands and a level playing field. The company, which manages 60 trade shows a year across Europe, is growing a portfolio of events for the venues, exhibition and conference market. The first takes place in Copenhagen next month.
The organiser will now promote June's London Venue Expo as a must-attend event for organisers who are looking for facilities in the capital. In 2005, the show at its peak attracted 200 exhibitors and 2,400 visitors.
Easy Fairs managing director Peter Heath said: "We were attracted to London Venue Expo's unambiguous and hugely exciting show concept. It is well suited to the Easy Fairs approach of compact shows that generate the right quality of visitors."
- Exposure Event Creations has teamed up with environmental organisation Put Something Back to reduce the impact of the 2007 Exhibiting Show. It will donate to a plantation project to compensate for the effect on the environment of travel to and from the show. The Exhibiting Show also uses recyclable carpets from Reeds Carpets and saves paper by producing an on-line exhibitor manual.
