Events for Namuwongo, which has been created by high-profile figures including Chris Hughes, CEO at Brand Events, Trevor Foley, CEO for Tfconnect and Simon Kimble, CEO at Clarion Events, has seen the exhibition industry adopt the village of Namuwongo in Uganda.
The project will see the industry raise money for the village and host a number of events in the village every year, including a sports day.
Namuwongo Night will feature a range of entertainment from music and dancing to celebrities. Guests will also be able to take part in a silent auction and raffle.
The event will honour a special guest in the form of 27-year old Immaculate Kiiza who will be flying in from Namuwongo.
Foley said: "This is a chance for the events industry to do something good together and to enjoy doing it. The whole industry has the opportunity to own this project, and if you aren’t playing yet, come along and find out how you can get involved."
