Eventia-IVCA rebrand to EVCOM

Industry associations Eventia and IVCA, which merged in June 2013, revealed their new identity last week at the IVCA Awards at London's Grosvenor House.

EVCOM (Event and Visual Communication Association), the new identity for the associations, was announced last Friday (28 March) at the awards, which celebrated the work of film, video, digital and live events.

On the night DRP Group picked up two gold awards in the best brand event and best internal event categories, for its work on a JCB global dealer conference and the ENRC 150 group conference respectively.

Dale Parmenter, EVCOM chairman, said: "These awards showcase the very best in creative communication. This year's winners have delivered outstanding insight and understanding in how to communicate sometimes difficult messages in a compelling and emotionally engaging way, using all the channels available.

The creation of EVCOM is both in response to the changing landscape and to establish a forum where leaders in communication can share, learn and network. The benefits of being a part of EVCOM are already substantial and more will be added over the coming weeks."
