I got into the event industry because… I actually ‘fell’ into this industry by complete chance. After leaving college, I took a placement with an event sound supplier and this opened my eyes to a whole new world. I was fascinated by the transformation of the most stunning museums and galleries by some of the leading Event Production Companies and I was hooked. It become addictive for me to see what you could achieve in as little as just an hour. I knew then that I wanted to do this for myself.

I have worked here since… Creventive was born in 2015 and hit the ground running. Lexi, my business partner, and I have a simple ethos – we just want to produce fantastic, bespoke events in a transparent way for our clients.

I was attracted to this particular role because… I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most brilliant creative directors in the industry and knew right from the beginning that the creative side of events is where I wanted to be. Creventive has given me the platform to express the vision of our clients and to satisfy my need for pushing the boundaries.

Not many people know that… I can juggle, however, entertainment agencies, shouldn’t fear, I’m not that good. Or am I?

The best event I’ve been involved was... Every event for me is a learning curve and inspiration. I was very fortunate to be involved in producing the Brit Awards After Party at The Tate Modern. I think I was in the Gallery for 25 hours without seeing daylight.

If I could do it all over again I would… Starting Creventive was a huge decision, but the best decision I have ever made. Maybe I should have done it sooner.

The one thing I can’t stand is... The ‘wow factor’ - for me the phrase has little meaning anymore – every event we produce has it. Push us, we love to offer the alternative and see how far we can go.

Outside of work I spend my time... I have a highly-strung Pomeranian called Rufus who demands my attention when not at work; living in Windsor has the benefits of long walks by the Castle and stunning parks. If I manage to shake the pooch loose, I enjoy wine and catching up with friends.

If money were no object I would… My husband and I travel a lot and have dreams of taking a few years out to discover the places we have always wanted to go. Technology has made it very easy to run a business and also have a life.

If I could switch places with anyone else in the industry it would be... A very hard question, everyone one I meet in the industry inspires me, however, I assume they go on the same emotional rollercoaster when planning an event. So I wouldn’t trade unless it was with someone like Beyonce – she has a great life!

If I ruled the event industry I would…Make flamingo’s mandatory at every event.
