Hopkins will star in The Containment, a new attraction that plays on the UK’s biggest fears including darkness, claustrophobia and the dentist.
According to Thorpe Park, the TV personality and columnist has been voted "the UK’s scariest celebrity", making her a suitable fit for the experience. She will don an oversized mask complete with an exaggerated smile, as well as large earrings and a pearl necklace.
Those who dare to take on the theme park’s new scare maze, coined The Big Top, will also be met by characters from the Figaro Bros. Carnival, who will be tasked with frightening visitors when they less expect it.
To add to the eeriness, the maze is set within an abandoned carnival on Amity Beach, and it is pitch black, making it particularly difficult to identify objects in the distance.
Thorpe Park has also teamed up with Lionsgate UK to deliver four movie-themed horror mazes against a backdrop of rides including The Swarm, Saw and Stealth, which ticketholders will be able to experience after dark.
The Fright Nights attractions are described as "an intense experience" and as such Thorpe Park advises that participants are aged over 13 years.
The Halloween-themed offering will be open from 9-11 October, 16-18 October and 23 Oct – 1 November from 3pm to 10pm.
