The campaign will provide DJs, promoters, artists and designers with a platform to showcase their skills. City Hack will run for six months, with all content to be captured and showcased through UKF’s online programme.
Teams of creatives will be selected in early July. Participants will be mentored by a panel of experts from UKF, including hip-hop and dubstep group Foreign Beggars. The winning acts from the campaign will be offered a full UKF mentorship.
Parties at unconfirmed venues in London, Manchester and Bristol will take place in the week commencing 24 August, while a final event is planned for 25 September at London’s Building Six.
City Hack has been developed by agencies RPM, Adam&Eve DDB, SMV and Cow PR.
David Lette, Desperados' brand director, said: "Providing new and truly unique experiences for our audience is at the very heart of Desperados’ marketing strategy, so we’re really excited to be launching City Hack. Working in collaboration with UKF also allows us to tap in to their vast talent pool and brand platform, building on the brand’s credibility with urban creatives.
"We’re confident that, through this new campaign, we’re going to be attracting some of the best talent the country has to offer, and do so in a Desperados way that is daring to be different."
