Event TV: Behind the scenes at Caterer of the Year judging

Five event professionals judged Event Awards' Caterer of the Year category last week (3-5 September) at the Blue Fin building in London.

The panel consisted of Nicky Hall, senior sponsorship and events executive at British Airways, Peter Kerwood, marketing director at Concerto, Katie Resnick, vice president events at Fremantle Media, Chris Wareham, managing director at Mash Staffing, and Greg Lawson, chief executive of Smart, which won the award last year.

They sampled four presentations from each shortlisted caterer, which included Bubble Food, Food by Dish, Harbour & Jones and Payne and Gunter.

Judges graded each entrant on the food’s texture and taste, the presentation and their adherence to the brief. The winner will be announced at the Event Awards 2014 ceremony, taking place on Thursday 2 October at Troxy in east London.
