Event TV: Backstage at Event's 18th birthday party

Event spoke to event professionals from the likes of Drive Productions, George P Johnson and Momentum Worldwide about the impact the publication has had on the experiential industry over the past 18 years.

The interviews were conducted at Event’s 18th birthday party, which took place last night (4 June) at Borough Market in London. Around 200 industry professionals attended the event to celebrate the past and raise a toast to the future of experiential.

Suppliers on the night included caterer Harbour & Jones Events, DJ service Stick It On, cloud-based social media tool Crowdscreen and Robert Lawrence Creative Solutions, which provided production. Event's 18th birthday cake was made by Daisy Brydon Creations. Event hosts were supplied by Diane Mae Model Management.

The room was decorated with pictures of key event profs at the age of 18, including DRP's Dale ParmenterGMR Marketing's Cathy Ricketts and London & Partners' Tracy Halliwell. See the full gallery here.

 As part of the celebrations, Event has launched the #Event18 hub, packed with original content ranging from the history of experiential and future trends for the year 2033, plus key industry figures write to their 18-year-old self offering advice for the years ahead.
