PsLive recently merged with Dentsu Aegis Network Sports & Entertainment, to form MKTG UK, where Brown is now brand experience managing director.
He says where the award really helped was with team morale, commitment and pride.
"It has been an endorsement of how we think, and operate, and our arrival on the experiential sector has been confirmed by a jury of our peers which means a lot to the team," he explained.
"They feel this endorsement very keenly, and it is reflected in their behaviour. They are always very quick to refer to the fact that we are Brand Experience Agency of the Year in any external meetings with new clients, and in any sessions they do with new delivery partners and potential recruits/interviewees."
He said with regard to the latter, the number of enquiries it now has from industry professionals looking to work at the agency has increased dramatically.
"In terms of hard and fast new business, I can tell you that our status as agency of the year definitely got us included on the pitch shortlist for a major consumer tech brand for a very big budget – results pending shortly," he added.
