Event Awards 2016 to welcome more than 700 guests

This year's Event Awards, taking place at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, will welcome 720 guests from the industry, a 25% increase on last year's numbers.

Taking place tonight (13 October), the Event Awards will showcase entries from 24 hotly-contested categories. 

Yasmin Arrigo, editor-in-chief of Event magazine said: "We're excited to see such a surge in interest from our audience both in terms of entrants and the crowd in the room tonight. We revamped each category last year in line with audience demand and we are delighted to receive such support in 2016." 

The shortlist includes brands such as Google, Nike, Topshop, Barclays, L'Oréal and Clarins. Guests will enjoy a sparkling wine reception followed by a three-course dinner, with comedian Katherine Ryan hosting the proceedings. 

Entertainment will be produced in partnership with events entertainment provider Young Guns, and will feature pianist, producer and composer Tokio Myers as the headline act. Catering will be provided by Zafferano while this year's charity partner is Oxfam. 

This year's Awards have attracted more than 300 entries from agencies, brands and partners.
