Event Awards 2014 menu gives nod to speakeasy theme

Joanna Moody, director of events at caterer Zafferano, has revealed to Event the menu for this year's Event Awards will feature a mix of big, intense flavours as well as modern comfort cooking.

The catering partner for this year’s awards ceremony, taking place on 2 October at London venue Troxy, will be creating and serving a range of food and drink on the night. This will include pre-dinner drinks and nibbles, which will be based around the event’s 1920’s speakeasy theme.

Zafferano has also created a bespoke dinner menu, which Moody said will feature "a distinctly transatlantic feel incorporating new cooking techniques and presentation".

She added the starter and main course will have a nostalgic British comfort food vibe, and described the dessert as "an indulgent American dream".

To round off the food Zafferano will be serving coffee along with a surprise as part of our #EventSecret campaign.
