Etsy House is the company’s first UK foray into brick and mortar retail. Designers applied for their products, which can range from art to body and bath products, to be featured in the store via Instagram.
There is also an option for creators to showcase larger items such as furniture and light installations at the pop-up.
The activation has been inspired by Etsy’s 2013 Holiday Shop, which launched in New York. Its goal was to target consumers who were not aware of the brand and promote the Etsy community.
More than 20,000 guests visited the experience, which also featured live performances, lectures, workshops and coffee tastings. More details on what the London event will entail are yet to be revealed.
