EMC will welcome around 60 guests to the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh tonight (29 May) to celebrate Scotland being the 2014 sporting stage, with appearances from television sports presenter Gabby Logan, six-time Olympic gold medal winner Sir Chris Hoy and professional caddie and media pundit Billy Foster.
Guests will have the chance to test their skills on a velodrome cycle simulator and a long putt - a putting green giving players three chances to make the putt and win a signed Ryder Cup jacket. The person with the fastest time on the cycle simulator will win a signed Team Sky cycle shirt.
Hoy will help guests with the velodrome challenge and will also try his hand at putting. Logan will host a Q&A session with Hoy and Foster, discussing the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup.
A range of Scottish-themed food will be served, including haggis, neeps and tatties, spelt barley with local vegetables, stovies and oatcakes, cullin skink and slow-cooked venison.
For desserts, guests will be able to sample cranachan and sticky toffee pudding. Guests will be served prosecco on arrival and whiskey-based drinks during the Q&A session.
The venue will feature EMC's Summer of Sport branding. The event is being organised by Logan Sports Marketing, with other suppliers including PWS Event for the cycle simulator and Blue Hawk for the putting green.
