Editor's letter

The two primary ingredients required before anything else to ensure an event is a success are the right venue and an inspired creative. Once these are in place, the plans for the perfect party can then take shape.

The inaugural RSVP Awards ceremony is moving from its proposed March date due to a venue-hire opportunity that was too good to ignore. The superheroes creative will now be translated by GSP Productions onto an exclusive canvas that few will have seen before, while a new June date will ensure that the debut event to celebrate creativity in the party industry will, in itself, become the party of the summer. Thank you to the raft of companies that have entered. A panel entirely made up of client readers will judge the entries and we shall then reveal the venue and date for your diaries.

Other changes to report include a refresh to some of our editorial content.

RSVP magazine constantly listens to its readership and strives to provide content that is of value to your day-to-day event planning needs. Following a series of focus groups, one of which is outlined on page 30, we have decided to give you more venue information and a greater number of ideas for event products and themes. In return, we ask that you recommend and share experiences for our new letters page and continue to get the very most from an extra two issues of RSVP this year.
