Editor's letter

One year on since the launch of RSVP magazine and one thing is notably absent from an industry rich in inspirational ideas and innovative products and services. No research has ever been undertaken among client organisers to establish the value of the creative event industry, or to pinpoint what proportion of marketing spend is invested in parties, launches or gala receptions - and to what return. That is all about to change as RSVP magazine launches the first study of its kind on behalf of the International Special Events Society. Please take a few moments to fill out our online survey at www.rsvpmagazine.co.uk/research. We will bring you these exclusive results later in the year.

The RSVP event takes place from 6-7 April at Olympia. With around 100 new exhibitors and a strong seminar programme, this year's show promises to be the best yet. If you still haven't registered to attend then check out our official show supplement for a glimpse of some of the companies you can expect to see, and visit www.rsvpevent.co.uk for further details on how to secure a visitor pass. RSVP magazine has teamed up with Smyle Events for a second year to produce a Creative Studio, which will bring to life some of the editorial we've covered during our first year. Please ensure you drop by our stand and let us know what you think about any aspect of the publication. I look forward to meeting many of you over the show's two days.
