Construction work will begin in September, with the renovation focused on building a more interactive experience for visitors.

US-based experience design and production agency BRC Imagination and Arts has been tasked with overseeing the refurbishment of the distillery, alongside TOTP Architects and Flynn Management & Contractors.

The venue is one of Dublin's biggest attractions, attracting more than 600,000 visitors a year. Tours at present include an insight into the living history of the Old Jameson Distillery, tracing its past, craft and traditions, alongside a comparative tasting, giving you an understanding of the key differences between Scotch, American and Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Since memories can fade over time, guests are also given a refreshing Jameson Ginger and Lime, a coveted Jameson Whiskey Tasting Certificate, and all the bragging rights that come with it.

BRC Imagination and Arts has previously worked on other global 'experiences', including the World of Coca-Cola, The Heineken Experience, Guinness Storehouse, The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, The Henry Ford and The Museum of Liverpool.

Jameson is hosting a tasting and dinner experience in London in September, giving guests the chance to explore the flavours of its Caskmates brand.
