Baking and food brand Dr. Oetker has launched its 'Dare to Bake' campaign, which will feature an experiential event at the Birmingham Cake International show.

The Birmingham Cake International show will take place on 17-19 March this year, at the city's NEC venue. Guests will be able to view live chocolate technique demonstrations staged by Dr Oetker. 

The brand's 'Dare to Bake' campaign aims to support home baking sales over the key seasonal Easter period, by encouraging customers to share their delicious chocolate creations on the ‘WeBake.com’ community, the first social network for bakers launched by Dr. Oetker in November last year.

Dr. Oekter will also be staging a competition focused around chocolate, with the top entrants competing in a ‘bake-off’ style challenge, to be judged by former winner of the Great British Bake Off, John Whaite. The winner will receive a trip to Belgium, the capital of chocolate. 

Last month, it was announced that Hotel Chocolat will stage 'Chocolate Lock-Ins' to drive customers into stores and to build brand loyalty. In January, M&Ms celebrated its 75th anniversary with a virtual reality film experience.
