DIARY: Who's best at organising?

Diary has often been accused of being unable to organise pea soup

in a brewery (at least, I think that's what was said), but in recent

research 71% of business people reckon Mo Mowlam and Tony Blair are the

politicians most likely to organise a successful event.

The survey, by United Business Media, put the PM ahead of William

'loser' Hague and George 'Dubya' Bush. Incidentally, Diary has noticed

that Blair's approval ratings continue to be high yet everyone you meet

can't stand him. This makes him the most popular unpopular leader we've

ever had.

The Event Success Report also found 40% want Victor Meldrew as an

after-dinner speaker while Chris Evans only got 24%. As the late Meldrew

would say 'I don't believe it'
