DIARY: Jamie shifts into top gear

Marketing agency Raisley, has signed a sponsorship deal with

superbike rider Jamie Robinson. The 25-year-old is said to be one of the

most 'naturally gifted riders in the UK'.



With the company's name on Robinson's overalls and his Yamaha, there

will be plenty of exposure for Raisley with about 600,000 spectators at

each race plus live TV coverage.



If it's on the BBC it'll probably be the only sport they can show

live.



Whereas if it's on Channel Five it's unlikely anyone will see it at

all.



Robinson is attracting other sponsors, which gives Raisley an

opportunity to pitch for face-to-face and exhibition work. Let's hope

he's always on the podium spraying champagne rather than running off the

track spraying gravel.
