DIARY: Funny business...

Comic Relief returns to our screens this month for the now traditional quota of usual fooling around by members of the general public who should know better.

To get this year's charity extravaganza off to a flying start, the BT Tower in central London was lit up into a fiery red pillar last month. Lighting company Fourth Phase was employed to get the landmark alight, and with 10km of cable being used it took a big effort to turn the massive column crimson - which sounds a bit like something you'd hear from that master of the single entendre Graham Norton, who with children's TV presenter Angellica Bell, hit the button to turn on the lights.
