DIARY: Funny business

The fourth annual comedy quiz night from the Association of Exhibition Organisers and ESP Recruitment was a fun-filled event.

There were many highlights of the event at Equinox in the West End, but Diary's favourite was "Exhibition Idols

where a member of each team got up on stage to do their finest looky-likey impressions of Ali G, Liam Gallagher, Elvis and a 1970s disco dancer.

Heartiest congratulations to Brand Events who walked away overall winners, but some of the other teams didn't exactly cover themselves in glory.

Most of the teams could name six muppets (other than their colleagues), in the picture round, but one thought a picture of Kate Bush was ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto. And another thought Dustin Hoffman's character in Rain Man was called John Bobbitt. Thankfully it wasn't, otherwise who knows what might have happened every time the director shouted 'Cut!'.
