De Boer Structures has won a multimillion pound contract to supply temporary structures to US air show Aviation World’s Fair in April 2003. De Boer will provide structures covering almost 93,000sqm at the three-week event, which takes place at Newport News-Williamsburg International Airport in Virginia. The show will feature exhibits celebrating a centenary of air travel. “Flexibility was extremely important in attracting us to De Boer, because we don’t yet know exactly what the industry is going to want at the fair,” said Aviation World’s Fair chief executive Tom Kallman. “We have seen the company’s structures in operation at other places in the world. They are a known quantity.” De Boer has worked on other air shows including Paris and Farnborough.
