De Boer replaces head of UK division

De Boer Structures has appointed a managing director to head its UK operation following the sudden departure of Jan Willem Croon.

Jan Jaap Majoewsky joined De Boer last month from IT company Exe Technology Benelux where he was managing director. He takes up his De Boer post in the UK from 2 April.

Willem Croon had completed his three-year contract in charge of the UK division at Banbury, Oxfordshire and left the De Boer group by mutual agreement following a poor financial year for the UK arm.

Majoewsky, 43, specialises in business development and logistics.

De Boer chief executive Klaas de Boer said: "The appointment comes at an important time for the company and Majoewsky will spearhead a move from Banbury to new, purpose-built premises at nearby Brackley in Northamptonshire. He has the skill and ability to continue to develop the De Boer brand within the UK, retain the company's market-leading position and identify new areas of growth."

De Boer supplies structures to major events across the globe and has more than 400 staff in the UK, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Austria and the US.

The firm opened a 24-hour emergency service earlier this year (Event, February).
