Visitors at all 15 of intu's shopping centres will be able to get involved in the free DC Super Hero activities, events and meet and greets with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman set to make appearances.

The activity launched on 23 July and will run until 2 September. It is expected to reach in excess of 35 million shoppers at centres including intu Trafford Centre, intu Lakeside and intu Metrocentre.

intu is also inspiring members of its kids clubs to ‘be a DC Super Hero this summer’ by running weekly Super Hero workshops and encouraging children to track down the Super-Villains hidden within its centres.

Trevor Pereira, commercial and digital director at intu, said: "Thanks to intu’s nationwide scale and consumer facing brand, we’ve been able to team up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to feature the world’s best known Super Heroes in the UK. This will make every one of our centres a must-visit destination over the school holidays with incredible DC Super Hero-inspired entertaining activities for families everywhere.

"It’s been fantastic working with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to bring the power of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to life in a way that’s unique with this campaign in the UK and is certain to attract more families into our centres and help all our retailers to flourish over the summer."

In April, automotive brand Mercedes-Benz opened the doors to a pop-up retail space at intu Lakeside shopping centre.

In March, intu partnered with Nickelodeon to bring SpongeBob Squarepants' Laughter Party to its centres.
