Credit crunch helps exhibition expand

The London International Wine Fair (LIWF) and Distil, which are taking place at Excel London from 12-14 May, are benefiting from the weak pound as a host of European nations look set to exhibit for the first time.

The strength of the Euro and the weakening of the pound have become added benefits to European exhibitors coming to the capital for the LIWF.

Show director James Murray said: "For the first time ever we've had booking confirmation from exhibitors based in the Czech Republic and Croatia. We expect the weaker pound will make travelling to London more attractive, in relative terms, to non-UK exhibitors and visitors."
