The Country Living Christmas Fair attracted more than 24,000 shoppers to its eighth outing at the Business Design Centre in November, and visitors were treated to debut features including wine tasting and free spa treatments. Initial show research has revealed that 90% of visitors to the exhibition, from 9-13 November, were female. Although the largest catchment area was London (47%), 27% came from the Midlands/East Anglia, 18.9% from the South/South East, 3.6% from the South West/ Wales and 3.25% from The North/Scotland/Northern Ireland. Organiser Upper Street Events group director Daniel Holmes said: “Visitors come to shop but it’s paramount to create a day out. We keep the show fresh by changing the hall dressing and we place a lot of importance on making it feel Christmassy.”
